Solapur (Maharashtra) [India], January 24: Fenova uPVC Door & Window Systems, a division of Arihant Profile – Extrusion LLP, has been awarded the contract to supply approximately 55,000 square feet of wooden-finish uPVC windows for the Gyalsung Academy project in the Kingdom of Bhutan. The project will be executed in collaboration with Fenova’s authorized channel partner, Luminex Windows, Siliguri.
The project award followed after designated authorities of the Royal Government of Bhutan visited Fenova’s 6,000 MT fully automated manufacturing facility in Solapur, Maharashtra. During the visit, the delegation studied Fenova’s proprietary co-extrusion technology, reviewed product quality benchmarks, and engaged with the company’s long-term vision — expressing strong confidence in Fenova’s capability to deliver premium and durable fenestration solutions for a nationally significant project.
Why the Gyalsung Academy Project Chose Fenova’s Co-Extrusion Technology Recognized by Forbes
The Gyalsung Academy project has selected wooden-finish uPVC windows by Fenova, manufactured using its proprietary co-extrusion technology — a key factor in the contract award.
Unlike conventional uPVC windows that rely on externally applied laminates to achieve a wooden appearance, Fenova develops the wood-grain aesthetics as an integral part of the extrusion process. This technology eliminates the use of surface laminates altogether, and with them, common issues such as peeling, delamination, bubbling, and finish failure over time. Fenova’s profiles retain the natural look and texture of wood, offering the warmth and premium appeal of wooden finish without the vulnerabilities associated with applied films or laminates.
By integrating aesthetics into the profile structure, Fenova delivers doors and windows that combine authentic wooden finishes, long-term structural integrity, and zero maintenance related to surface finishes — making them particularly well suited for institutional and large-scale projects where durability and lifecycle performance are critical.
Fenova was recently recognized by Forbes India DGEMS as a SELECT 200 Company, and its co-extrusion-based product range has demonstrated clear, measurable advantages in real-world applications. These benefits have translated into growing adoption across premium residential developments, institutional campuses, and large construction projects, both in India and international markets.
Supporting Bhutan’s Vision for Next-Generation Infrastructure
Bhutan views this product as a next-generation fenestration solution, aligned with its focus on longevity and lifecycle efficiency in public infrastructure. The absence of surface laminates significantly reduces long-term maintenance while preserving architectural aesthetics — key considerations for institutional campuses built to serve future generations.
The Gyalsung Academy project reinforces Bhutan’s preference for advanced building materials that combine durability, thermal performance, and premium aesthetics, without reliance on applied finishes.
Building on Proven Experience in Bhutan
Fenova’s selection also builds on its prior presence in Bhutan, including the Yonphula Specialized Rehabilitation School, now known as Yarabling Higher Secondary Education School, where Fenova’s wooden-finish uPVC windows were installed earlier last year. These projects have helped establish Fenova’s credibility within Bhutan’s institutional construction ecosystem.
The Gyalsung Academy project represents a tangible outcome of growing international interest in Fenova’s co-extrusion capabilities for high-responsibility developments.
Preferred Choice for Premium Construction
Across India and select international markets, Fenova is increasingly preferred by real estate developers, architects, and construction firms in the premium and institutional segments. Its co-extruded profiles address critical construction priorities such as design permanence, energy efficiency, climate durability, and reduced maintenance, positioning Fenova as a strong alternative to conventional laminated systems.
